In the heart of this Cycladic island, we met the Lembesis family, who have been perpetuating ancestral know-how for five generations.
Their hands shape the earth with timeless grace, giving birth to ceramics that tell a story, that of a Greek art of living, both solar and poetic.
There is a special atmosphere in the workshop.
An enveloping calm, punctuated by the sound of hands turning the earth. Here, time seems to slow down. Gestures repeat themselves, but are never quite alike. Each piece bears the trace of a look, a mood, a moment.
