VISIT THE OLD TOWN

Let’s start the morning in the medieval old town. There is the Sant Feliu bridge, the Basilica of Sant Feliu, and the Saint Mary Cathedral. But also the Passeig Arqueològic and the Jardins dels Alemanys, the green lungs of Girona.

 

EL CELLER DE CAN ROCA 

Let’s take the time for lunch at the Roca brothers' restaurant, El Celler de Can Roca. A cuisine rooted in the land as both pantry and habitat, in close conversation with the local producers who grew alongside them.

 

THE GIRONA CITY WALLS

Let’s take in the view from the Girona city walls. This walkway, expanded by the Romans, dates back to the Carolingian era in the 9th century. It is the most extensive Carolingian wall in Europe.

 

LA BISBAL D'EMPORDÀ 

Just next to Girona, the small town of La Bisbal d'Empordà has been renowned for its ceramics for four hundred years. Pick up cups, charming small-handled ramekins, "tulip" pendant lights, or vases in soft hues.
